Synchronous drum motors accelerate to their rated speed in milliseconds. This allows very short cycle times without complex servo-technology and also increases productivity.

Conveyor designs that use external motors must account for the high starting torque of the side-flanged motor so as to avoid twisting or unwanted vibration.

Here, the starting and braking torques are fully aligned with the force axis of the conveyor, making the motor, which achieves speeds of up to 2.5 m/s, an integral and 100% vibration-free part of the conveyor without additional design effort.
