The Challenge

At Boos, we have a heavy focus on optimizing the hygienic design of our systems, thereby increasing food safety. Many bearings do not sufficiently support this goal.
At the same time, we are aware of the challenge that lubricant is generally washed out from bearings demanding continuous maintenance in the form of lubrication and increasing the risk of insufficient lubrication causing bearing failure and need for replacement. All expensive and time-consuming measures for our customers.

With the NGI bearing houses, we have found a hygienically optimal solution that sufficiently supports the food safety of our applications.
Furthermore, a key characteristic of the NGI bearing is the IP69K protection rating that guarantees complete protection of the ball bearing inside a tightly sealed bearing housing which prevents the lubricant from being washed out.

The Effect

Due to the design features of the NGI bearings houses, the bearing is sufficiently lubricated for its entire lifetime, maintenance is not necessary, and the risk of bearing failure is significantly reduced.
